Squash Casserole
1 med. onion, finely chopped
6 med. yellow crookneck squash, sliced
3 tbsp. bacon drippings or butter
1 slice bread, shredded
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
Cook onion and squash in bacon drippings until tender; place in baking dish.
Mix bread, egg and milk; pour over squash mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.
